AMF Smithtown Lanes Reopening Rolling Smoothly

Slick, new bowling lanes are raising excitement from residents who have stopped by the newly re-opened AMF Smithtown Lanes. 

"The first night of leagues last Tuesday we had two 300s. Two perfect games," said Don Stewart, general manager of AMF Smithtown Lanes. "It's unusual." 


New Chef at Four Food Studio

One of the area's most posh restaurants for the business set has just got a new chef.  

According to Explore LI, sous chef Antonio Guillen has taken over the helm in the kitchen of Four Food Studio in Melville, after executive chef Ben Durham decided to leave the restaurant.

Carlson Associates Plans for Recycling Plant "Has Merit"

A Kings Park industrial company's proposal to build an indoor recycling facility instead of an asphalt plant is gaining attention from Smithtown Town officials.

Councilman Ed Wehrheim asked Smithtown Planning Director Frank DeRubeis if he would consider taking a look at Carlson Associates' proposal to build a state-of-the-art organic processing facility instead of an asphalt plant and trucking station on Old Northport Road, as per plans submitted Aug. 28, at Tuesday morning's town board work session.


Oral Surgeon Opens New Medical Spa in Hauppauge

Hauppauge-based oral surgeon Dr. Lynn Pierri has expanded her practice to open Living Well Essentials, a medical spa that will offer facials and medical facials, body contouring, teeth whitening, laser hair removal, microdermabrasion and more. Previously, her practice focused on dental implants, oral sleep appliances, oral and maxillofacial surgery and facial imaging.
