Commack Lanes Lends Space to Smithtown AMF After Roof Collapse

Leagues, parties and employees will be moved to the Commack and Centerreach AMF locations.

AMF Commack Vet Lanes is stepping up to help its neighbor, AMF Smithtown Lanes, after the bowling alley's roof collapsed Saturday under the weight of heavy snow.

According to staff at Commack Lanes, leagues from the Smithtown bowling alley will be split between the Commack and Centereach locations. Birthday and other parties planned at the Smithtown location will also be moved to the corporation's other branches. Employees of the AMF Smithtown Lanes will be taken in by the Commack and Centereach sites, as well.

The Smithtown building was not occupied at the time of the collapse and nobody was injured.

According to the police, officers were on scene Saturday after a 4:30 p.m. call to 911 tipped off authorities about the collapse, which also caused a water leak at the business. The Town of Smithtown, Long Island Power Authority, the Smithtown Fire Department and the Suffolk County Water Authority all responded.

Workers at Commack Lanes made sure to shovel the snow off of the bowling alley's roof on Sunday so that it too did not cave in.

The Commack roof is not a huge flat space the way some are.

I know exactly what she's about and that's why I'm trying to spread the word. She confronts theRead More lies and the deceit in the Affordable Care Act. And that needs to be brought to the forefront
