No Tofu at To Fu; Eatery Closes for Renovations

To Fu, a staple for Japanese and Chinese food in Commack for years, is closed for renovations, according to a sign on the building.

Some customers said that they tried to place orders at the restaurant, located on Jericho Turpike, last week, but no one answered the phone.

Patch attempted to reach out to the owners of the restaurant Tuesday, but there was also no answer by phone and the voice mailbox was full.

The restaurant offered authentic Chinese food along with varieties of sushi and other Japanese foods. Hibachi and some Thai dishes were also favorites of this local eatery. The restaurant touts its attention to health on its website, stating that it uses only vegetable oil.

There is no indication of when the restaurant will reopen.
