Main Catch to Open Its Doors in Commack

Former Southside Fish & Clams reopens as a full service restaurant.

 

More than a year after Southside Fish & Clams closed for minor renovations, the seafood haven has found new life as a full-service restaurant. 

Main Catch, a seafood, steak and sushi restaurant, is preparing to open its doors to customers at 1095 Jericho Turnpike in Commack. The restaurant has not set and opening date yet.

The former Southside Fish & Clams seafood was a fish market and restaurant that closed suddenly in early 2011.

The restaurant owners announced on their website that "Our Commack location will be temporarily closed for minor interior alterations, to better accomodate our guests. We anticipate our grand re-opening to be in the spring of 2011, offering a full service venue and opening under our signature name the Main Catch..."

Southside Fish & Clams in Commack was originally a branch off of the Lindenhurst restaurant off Montauk Highway.
