When the power went out, what local places did you turn to?

Thousands of Commack residents went in the week following Tropical Storm Irene's arrival in late August.

For those in the dark, local businesses turned into a lifeline, providing food, air conditioning, and a place to charge up electronics.

Olio Ristorante ~ Pizza one night, Fried calamari & seafood diablo the second. Chicken Parm Hero the Third and circled around for Pizza the last night. :-)

Michael's Garden Supply, to refill propane tank, but he is closed on Tuesdays. Then ventured over to Acer's on Jericho Tpke, for propane, and they were very great! Now we know what beautiful items they have there! Can't wait to go back to Acer's!
