Sixth Avenue Electronics Closes Indefinitely

Reopening date is unknown, according to several employees.

Sixth Avenue Electronics in Commack has shut its doors for renovations, according to employees. 

Signs posted on the front doors of the Tuesday stated the store is closed for renovations and referred customers to the chain's Nesconset location. Workers in the building told Patch the store has been closed since Saturday, and will reopen in "three to four months."

A Sixth Avenue Electronics customer service representative who declined to give her name said there is no specific date set for the store's reopening.

The electronics chain currently has four stores on Long Island. The Commack location was the first Suffolk County store when it opened in July 2007.

A call placed to the company's corporate headquarters Tuesday afternoon was not returned.
