To Fu Shows No Sign of Reopening

After 21 years in business, ToFu appears closed for good.

To Fu, a staple for Japanese and Chinese food in Commack for 21 years, now has an iron gate blocking its entranceway.

The eatery closed in July and posted a sign on its door that it would remain closed for renovations, however, no updates to the restaurant have taken place since then.

The restaurant opened in 1992 and became a mainstay for residents looking for both take out and sit-down restaurant experience.

To Fu closed abruptly in July. Customers were taken off-guard when they tried to place orders at the restaurant, located on Jericho Turnpike and there was no one at the eatery to answer the phone.

The restaurant offered authentic Chinese food along with varieties of sushi and other Japanese foods. Hibachi and some Thai dishes were also favorites of this local eatery. The restaurant touted its attention to health on its website, stating that it used only vegetable oil.

What would you like to see move into the location? Where do you satisfy your Chinese or Japanese food craving now that To Fu is closed?
