Trader Joe's Recalls Frozen Pizza

Shoppers who are gluten-intolerant beware: A frozen pizza sold at is being recalled over concerns of its ingredients.

Trader Joe's issued a recall Tuesday for its Frozen Pizza Al Pollo Asado, due to the fact that the pizza may contain "trace amounts of wheat," according to a statement issued by the company. Wheat is not a listed ingredient on the product's box.

Those individuals who are allergic or sensitive to wheat "may run the risk of allergic reaction if they consume this product," the company said.

Trader Joe's said no harmful effects from the mislabeling have been reported. As a precaution, the company said it has removed the product from sale. Locals who have purchased the pizza may return it to the located on Jericho Turnpike in Commack or Route 347 in Lake Grove for a full refund.
