Vitamix Laboratories, currently located in Farmingdale, will triple its size in the move to a 23,175-square-foot space at 69 Mall Dr. in Commack. The expansion is to accommodate production of its new line of meal replacement and energy drinks, called Beverage Booster. The company also creates supplements for other companies.

According to the report, the $250,000 project will add 20 jobs over two years. The company currently employs 11 people.

Vitamix was eligible for tax breaks under the IDAs Boost program, which targets small businesses in high-growth industries, such as biosciences, pharmaceuticals, green technology and information technology.
