Winter Farmers Market Open for Second Year in Commack

Vendors sell fresh produce, baked goods and more every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Feb. 23.

The winter farmers market is back in action at the Suffolk Y JCC in Commack.

The market, located at 74 Hauppauge Road, is open every Sunday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. until Feb. 23.

Vendors offer certified organic vegetables and greens including Long Island corn, heirloom tomatoes, potatoes, squash and onions, fresh fruits and juices. Customers can also find specialty cheeses, milk, wine, pasta, pickles, soaps and preserves, baked goods, gluten free breads, cakes and cookies.

The winter market, opened last year and quickly gained a following.

Vendors accept cash, EBT, SNAP, debit, credit, FMNP and WIC checks.
