Mother Nature has handed us a gift, Thursday is going to be a beauty. Warm weather and clear skies will make it feel more like May than March. So what’s a Commackian to do? We’ve got a few ideas.
- Breathe in the salty air; gaze out onto the water and head down to the boardwalk at Sunken Meadow State Park. Whether you take a morning stroll and afternoon walk or an evening run, you are sure to see some neighbors there.
- Meet a few of the barnyard animals at in nearby Commack. There are roosters, rabbits, goats, and pigs for your child to pet. Also, spend a few minutes exploring the 18th century farmhouse that has been turned into a museum.
- Dust off your clubs and head to for a round of golf. This facility has an 18-hole course and tennis courts.
- Stop by and enjoy one of their famous hot dogs on the benches outside, or pop over to , or for some .
- Take the kids to one of Commack's pocket parks like and and let them take their energy out on the playground after school.
