5 Things To Do This Weekend

Donate blood or catch a live performance this weekend.

Looking for something to do with the kids this weekend? We've got suggestions for you.

Titanic Mural

The Smithtown Library is looking for volunteers in grades 6-12 to help design their mural for the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. Volunteers will help search for images to stencil, color, and hide in their I-Spy-style mural. Come to the library at 4 p.m. Friday to participate.

Eagle Scout Food Drive

Local Eagle Scout Kevin Chaves is hosting a food drive, and you can help him by donating food. Collection boxes can be found at Waldbaum's in Mayfair Shopping Center, King Kullen and New York Sports Club.

That 70s Band

That 70s Band will be playing your favorite retro hits at Blacksmith Tavern Friday at 9:30 p.m. Admission is $10.

Creation Station

If you're looking to keep the kids busy, stop by the Commack Public Library for a free arts and crafts session starting at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Blood Drive

If you didn't have the chance to donate blood at last week's Glen Ciano Blood Drive, then consider attending the Kings Park Fire Department Blood Drive. Your blood donation could save up to three lives. Stop by the Kings Park fire Department at 10:45 a.m. Saturday.
