Port Washington's Italian eatery expands to Smithown.
Overview: Following decades of success in Port Washington, the owners of DiMaggio's Trattoria are setting up shop on Jericho Turnpike and bringing their traditional Italian fare to Smithtown.
Decor: The interior is warm and inviting, with a spacious bar. An outdoor seating area welcomes guests to dine al fresco in the warmer months.
The Drinks: Like any self-respecting Italian eatery, they offer an extensive wine list featuring whites and reds from Italy, California and Argentina.

Appetizers: The usual Italian starters, including Hot ($9.95) and Cold ($7.95) Antipasto and Fried Calamari ($9.95). Garlic Bread ($3.50) is perfect for dipping in any of DiMaggio's classic soups, like Escarole and White Bean.
Entrees: The menu ranges from personal-sized pizzas to pastas including homemade Gnocchi. Chicken Scarpariello, Veal Scallopine and Chicken Francese are all satisfying dishes. Scungilli Marinara, Shrimp Francese are just some of the seafood offerings. Vegetable Lasagna and Pork Chops with Cherry Peppers are a departure from the traditional Italian options.
