Commack Celebrates Memorial Day [Photos]

Commack residents gather in droves to watch the annual Memorial Day parade.

 

Hundreds of Commack residents moved by the patriotic spirited pulled out lawn chairs and beach umbrellas forming a living sea of red, white and blue for Commack's annual memorial parade. 

The Elwood-Commack Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #9263 hosted its annual Memorial Day Parade down Jericho Turnpike on Monday. The parade stepped off from Home Depot at 10 a.m., with high energy crowd ready to cheer on marched for every step of the way.

Hundred of local community groups participated including the VFW Post #9263, the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts of America, Commack Fire Department, Commack Volunteer a Corps, and local marching bands.
