Last Chance: Get Your Taxes In

The two extra days to get your returns submitted are quickly coming to a close.

Federal and New York State Income Tax Returns or extensions must be filed by April 17 at 11:59 p.m.

For those of you who still file taxes by mail, please note many local United States Post Office locations won't be open late on Tuesday. An estimated 80 percent of those filing taxes do so electronically. But, if you are in desperate need of a postmark a bit later, head to the Bay Shore Post Office — which is open until 6 p.m.
