Last Chance: Take the Stage at Smithtown's Battle of the Bands

Hurry up and don't miss your chance to compete in the Town of Smithtown's first Battle of the Bands Competition June 26 at Hoyt Farm.

If you're teen whose band dreams of a larger stage than the garage or basement, sign up to perform at Hoyt Farm this summer. 

Smithtown Youth Bureau and Youth Advisory Board will be hosting its first Battle of the Bands competition at in Commack on June 26 form 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Teen bands whose members include high school students from Commack, Hauppauge, Kings Park or Smithtown school districts can apply to compete for prizes. 

Prizes will include a full recording session at Live @ Studios, gift certificates to with a spot at their open mic night, and music lessons from . 

To obtain an application to perform, teens should call 631-360-7595 or email phirschhorn@tosgov.com. The deadline for applications is 3 p.m. Thursday.

The Battle of the Bands will kick off the third annual safe summer teen nights which will be held on July 10, July 24 and Aug. 10 from 6 p.m - 9 p.m.

i believe the best way to locate your teacher is through the commack teachers association (cta).Read More contact the union president, tris stewart, and write a short note. include all the contact information you're comfortable with and wait a bit? 33 years is a long time. good luck.
