Police Investigating Swastika Spray Painted at KP High School

Suffolk County Police are investigating an incident of graffiti, which occurred at the high school parking lot guard booth recently.
Kings Park District Superintendent, Susan Agruso, said school employees discovered a swastika spray painted on the guard booth on the morning of Feb. 6. The district then contacted police to notify them of the incident, which is being investigated by the hate crimes unit.

Serious Injuries Sustained in Middle School Fight

Schoolyard bullying turned violent this week at Hauppauge Middle School when a seventh grade boy was seriously injured during a bathroom brawl.

Principal Maryann Fletcher said that the incident originally came through as an accident, but after further investigation, the administration discovered that it was not.

The gun debate will return to Huntington Station Saturday with groups representing diametrically opposed views but on different days.

Gun advocates are planning to demonstrate at the intersection of Jericho Turnpike and Route 110, site of the large pro-gun rally on Jan. 19 that filled all four corners and spilled alongside the roadways in all directions. They are scheduled to demonstrate from noon to 3 p.m. in what the Conservative Society for Action called a Nationwide Day Of Resistance.
