A seagull finds a place to rest its wings atop the cross of Commack United Methodist Church on Townline Road.

The Church is hosting an Easter party and egg hunt this Saturday at 11 a.m. Families are invited to bring their children, grandchildren, friends and neighbors for games and crafts. A light lunch will be served followed by an Easter egg hunt and visit by the Easter Bunny. Attendees are asked to bring a basket and six filled plastic eggs for each child. The church will also hold an Easter Dawn Worship Service at Sunken Meadow Beach at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday. Attendees should meet on the boardwalk, at the main entrance. A 9 a.m. service will follow in the main sanctuary of the church.
