Funeral for Officer Killed in Commack Crash

Funeral service is held for Suffolk County Police Officer Patrick Curley, who died in a car crash last week.

Suffolk County Police officer Patrick Curley, 40, was buried Tuesday after a service in Glen Cove. The Huntington resident was killed last week when his sports utility vehicle struck a garbage truck in Commack.

He was off duty at the time of the accident.

Officers from the Suffolk and Glen Cove police departments were among those who turned out for the service at St. Patrick's Church. Curley was a native of Glen Cove.
