TD Bank Branch Robbed

The TD Bank on Jericho Turnpike was robbed for the second time in three months, police said.

The branch in Commack was robbed Wednesday morning by a man who indicated he was armed, Suffolk police said.

Detectives are investigating the robbery.

According to police, a man entered the bank on 6190 Jericho Tpke. at approximately 9 a.m. and handed a teller a note stating that he had a gun and demanding cash. The teller complied, and the man made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled westbound on Jericho Turnpike, police said.

Police described the robber as a light-skinned Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a slim build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a Yankees baseball cap, a black hoodie and white and dark sneakers. The description matches that of a thief who .

A TD Bank employee who answered the phone Wednesday morning refused to comment on the incident.

The same bank was robbed just two months ago on March 2. Suffolk police with the robbery two weeks later.
