Week in Review: Beating the Heat

This week was HOT. It was filled with hot topics, hot weather and cool snacks. Beating the heat was a main focus for CommackPatch (and Commack residents), but we also focused on the new proposals for the Carll farm, a fire in Smithtown, where "help" is wanted in Commack and the best way to maintain your air conditioning to survive the rising temperatures. 

On Monday, we showed you how some athletes cool down in the summer. 

Tuesday it was HOT – there was a lot of news and it mostly dealt with beating the heat by enjoying some cool treats.

Friday, we caught up with a local chef gone "celebrity" who shared his favorite food memories of Commack. 

Saturday we rounded out the week with a new workout – Rahini yoga – and shared some information on a local athlete getting her chance at summer games glory.
