A Commack man was arrested on the Southern State Parkway near Wantagh Thursday morning on what police said was his sixth driving while intoxicated (DWI) offense. 

Moe's Southwest Grill Opens in CommackCommack residents were greeted by a "Welcome to Moe's" as they checked out the town's newest restaurant Thursday afternoon. Moe's Southwest Grill opened its Commack restaurant at 60 Veterans Highway, in the Target shopping center, on April 12.

Commack Students Roll out Purple Tires for a Cause
A group of students are rolling out purple tires across town spraypainted with the slogan "Tired of Cancer" as a fundraiser for Commack's upcoming Relay for Life Event on May 11 and May 12. The purple tires have surprised some, and caught other homeowners off guard. 

Commack Firefighters Aiding in Brookhaven Brush Fire Situation
The Commack Fire Department is among 109 fire departments in Suffolk County called to help battle the raging brush fires in the Ridge area. Commack Assistant Chief Peter Paccione said Commack had one engine report to assist, led by Commack Chief Kerian Keane.
