8 Places to Buy a Christmas Tree in Commack

Before you decorate your tree, you need to buy one. Whether you're looking for a real tree fresh from the nursery, or one that requires a little less maintanence, here are some options in Commack and nearby towns.

Prianti Farms IncA former Commack-based nursery, this full-service nursery is now based in Dix Hills and has approximately six different varieties of pre-cut Christmas trees. They also have garlands, poinsettias and wreaths.

Target : Not in the mood to clean up all the pine needles at the end of the holiday? Pick up a faux tree from Target. They have a variety of sizes, colors and options, and some even come pre-lit.

Home Depot : Home Depot also has a variety of synthetic trees, as well as small potted varieties. These table-top trees are watered throughout the holiday season and can be replanted in a yard after the New Year.

Costco:  Costco not only has faux trees, table top versions and light displays, they've also got garlands for your lawns or stairways and a variety of other holiday items.

If you're in the mood to cut down your own tree, then North Fork Preserve Christmas Tree Farmin Riverhead is the place for you. With over 5,000 trees to choose from – and operating hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from now until Dec. 23 – there are plenty of ways to ensure that you get the exact tree you want. Prices range from $55 to $75 depending on whether you want a cut or balled tree, with the balled tree being able to be re-planted.

Tilden Lane FarmIf you'd like to choose your own tree a bit closer to home, you can head over to Greenlawn on Dec. 8, Dec. 9, Dec. 15 and Dec. 16  from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to pick a tree at Tilden Lane Farms. This working farm allows you to choose your own tree and cut it if you'd like – they will also cut down a tree for you.

Hicks Nurseries in WestburyIn addition to offering Christmas trees, wreaths and traditional decorations, Hicks will also be showcasing two live reindeer throughout the holiday season. Visit Comet and Blitzen from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday to Saturday and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays.
