Commack Dad Battles Lung Cancer

A fundraiser will be held Oct. 13 to help support the Galluzzo family.

Commack community members are coming together to support a local resident who has been fighting lung cancer for the past four years.

On Oct. 13, at Four Food Studio and Cocktail Salon in Melville, a fundraiser will be held to help Jeff Galluzzo, husband and father of two young children, and his family. Galluzzo, a 46-year-old non-smoker, has been fighting lung cancer for the past four years. He was diagnosed in the summer of 2010 while in training for a triathlon.

The fundraiser, “Music for Life,” will feature some of the most famous DJs in the New York City club scene, will benefit the Galluzo family, as they take care of the mental, physical and financial issues endured throughout Jeff’s battle against cancer.
