East Northport Boy Asks Santa for Prosthetic Arm

Christopher Kiezek, 6, who was born without part of his left arm sat on Santa's lap this year and asked for two things: an Xbox and fingers to play it with.

While Kiezek's family has health insurance, the provider wouldn't cover the cost of a prosthetic arm.

A close family friend, Robert Jackson, heard Kiezek's wish and decided to create a fundraising campaign on GoFundMe.com to raise $25,000 by Christmas so that the the boy could have a prosthetic arm made for him.

"Now I can not sit back and let an insurance company ruin a boys Christmas. I would like to hand Christopher's family with a check on Christmas Eve for 25,000 dollars so Christopher thinks Santa came through. I know its a tough time for everyone but isn't this what Christmas is all about? God Bless You All," Jackson wrote on the fundraising page.   

Donations began pouring in after the story aired on Fox News, and not only did Jackson meet the goal, but so far, the campaign has raised $44,000.

Jackson told Fox that he is now starting a non-profit organization in Christopher's name so that the additional funds can go to other children like him.
