Commack Bloods Drive; Special Education Fundraiser Today

Donors will have a chance to win Super Bowl tickets.

Commack residents can help save a life today during a community blood drive at Burr Intermediate School (202 Burr Rd., Commack) from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m.

By donating, volunteer help meet the daily transfusion needs of cancer and surgery patients, accident and burn victims, newborns and mothers delivering babies, AIDS and sickle cell anemia patients and others.

Donors will be entered into a sweepstakes for one pair of tickets to Super Bowl XLVIII. To schedule an appointment, contact Brenda Lentsch at blentsch@commackschools.org.

Also taking place today is the Commack Special Education Parent Teacher Association's holiday boutique and auction.

Shoppers can pick up clothing, accessories, home goods, jewelry, and more from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the High School cafeteria.

Raffles will take place every half hour and there will also be refreshments activities for children. Proceeds will benefit the special education programs within the Commack School District. For more information, email cmksepta@gmail.com.
