Frosted specialty brews, served up with the chilled performance of Sublime with Rome, will take center stage Sept. 8, 2012 at the inaugural Beerfields Craft Beer and Music Festival. Slated to take place at the Pennysaver Amphitheater at Bald Hill. N.Y., the premier event will offer upwards of 150 beer samplings from more than 35 of the nation’s leading micro breweries.
Further infusing the drinking atmosphere with energy-soaked rock, music powerhouse Sublime – with Rome – will headline a concert that showcases several rising bands. These include regional favorites like John Browns Body, Pimps of Joytime and Soundswell.
“This isn’t your typical beer sampling event, this is great beer and a rock concert fused together, something not done before,” said David Johnson, one of the event’s coordinators. “We’re striving to make this the official party of fall 2012 by combining the best of both worlds for craft beer and music enthusiasts alike.”
The festival starts at 2 p.m., with sampling taps flowing from the time the doors open until 5 p.m. Ticket prices include all sampling sessions. Additional beer sales will take place later in the evening for attendees looking to continue the tasting party. Food vendors will be on site offering a variety of delectable pub pairings to accompany the beer.
“It’s going to be a totally hip way to kickoff fall – not to mention it’s a great way to introduce people to new tastes, while taking in one of this generation’s classic bands,” Johnson said.
