Yankees Surprise Former Commack Resident on HOPE Week

Rachel Doyle gets surprise visit from three baseball players, $10,000 donation to her charity GlamorGals.

A former Commack resident was surprised when three New York Yankee players showed up to support her charity with a $10,000 check in tow.

Newsday reports that Rachel Doyle, founder of the nonprofit organization GlamorGals, received an unexpected visit from Nick Swisher, Brett Gardner and David Robertson while volunteering as part of Yankees HOPE Week 2012.

Doyle created the GlamorGals while she was a senior at Commack High School, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to organize and inspire teens to provide complimentary beauty makeovers to women living in senior homes, according to its website.
