I know this is long but thats how bad it was!!! This place is awful. I dropped off a bag of laundry, being that my brother recommended the place (he had been a customer for years). Side note- I usually do my own laundry for several reasons 1) I'm not lazy 2) I want to make sure it's done right/stuff doesn't go missing 3) it grosses me out that someone I don't know will be touching my clothes 4) I am sensitive to soaps and I know (even if I bring my own) they use whatever they have, i can tell just by the smell alone. The reason why I dropped off was due to a busy schedule. The employees did not speak English which I have nothing against. I am bilingual myself but I could barely communicate with them. They would just give me a blank stare, there's a difference between having a language barrier and just being completely empty upstairs and I still don't see how you can be in a position to communicate with the public and not attempt to learn the language. I blame this on the owner (Christina) whom most likely hires these people knowing she can work them to the bone and pay them pennies because they have little options, which is completely morally wrong, but hey I could be wrong maybe she's a "Good Samaritan" trying to help out the less fortunate (I wouldn't bet on it)!!! So back to my drop off, I was asked when i wanted to "pick up" I said the earliest I could get my clothes back and was pleasantly surprised when I was told my clothes would be ready the same day. Well I went back later that day only to find when I got home with my load my brand new beautiful skirt was missing, I only wore it once and have not been able to find something like it since. I went back to complain and the lady would just say I don't know and it was not there. I left my number in case someone returned it, needless to say I never received a call back. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried them one more time. Step 1) Dropped off a bag, Step 2) Picked up my bag, Step 3) got home and found a brand new pair of jeans (really cute by the way) missing dahdahdahhhhhh!!!! I was not surprised but I was furious (I know I did it to myself, you know what they say fool me once shame on you fool me twice...) mind you i have a lot of clothes the reason i noticed these two items is because they were new, only worn once and i know for a fact i placed them in my laundry bag but who knows how many items were really missing and i just didn't notice. Well this time I went and spoke to the girl that was in the laundromat, but she wasn't the girl I gave my bag to the night before which I noticed the night before the employee had some young girls there with her and I am a small/average frame these girls could easily fit into my clothes or know someone who would. The employee i dealt with apologized and told me to speak to the owner. That turned out to be the worst customer service experience of my life, I called her since she wasn't in the store at the time and from the start she was yelling, speaking over me, refused to take responsibility, called me a liar and basically proceeded to tell me I must be losing my grip on reality because she insisted I must have never placed these items in my laundry bag and she's certain I will find them when I go through my things at home (I didn't realize she was present when I put my clothes in my laundry bag) she was beyond irate, you would think she was the unhappy customer. I even said to her it could have been a mistake and maybe my clothes got mixed up with someone else's I offered my phone number so she can call me in case my items are returned which she refused to take. She is rude, ignorant, vile and most definitely lost my business and the business of my friends whom I have referred. Btw remember my brother who had been a loyal customer for years well he dropped off some winter items and when he picked up his laundry bag 1north face coat, 1 north face fleece and a number of dress pants all gone (you can imagine what that was worth) and nothing could be done about it. He tried speaking to the owner Christine and she dished out another lovely performance, I guess that's her way of making sure you don't continue to press the issue, of course at the cost of losing customers. This lady (to nice of a word for what I really want to call her) should be fined for terrible behavior if nothing else. How can anyone run a business this way. I guess your safe if your doing your own laundry in their machines. But seriously people stay away!!!! It's not worth it.
