A 'Double Special' Tribute to Commack Breakfast Owner

More than 100 customers, friends, neighbors and family members paid a visit to Commack Breakfast to pay homage to owner Peter Fedden, who died in a car crash Wednesday.

Candles, flowers and personal messages were left at the cafe, where Fedden's smiling face used to greet his customers.

Friends used paint-markers to write well wishes to the 29-year-old, who made an impact on his community both through his friendly personality and charitable nature.

"You were double special," one person wrote, referring to the way Fedden took breakfast orders.

Others taped photographs of the business owner and wrote farewells on construction paper for his family to keep.
