A Thank You To Our Readers

During and after Hurricane Sandy, our readers stepped up, helping to get important information out.

Patch has always said that we are a community hub, a forum where the community can go to share information. And during Hurricane Sandy, it was no different. Over the past two weeks, Patch readers have helped Commack Patch provide up-to-the-minute information.

Our readers uploaded over 40 photos, helping to paint a picture of Sandy's devastation so their displaced neighbors knew what was happening and had happened.

  • Share Your Hurricane Sandy Photos
  • Commack Pics & Clips

Our readers took the time to check in to provide an accurate picture of what areas were out of power and gave valuable advice in helping fellow neighbors find which gas stations were still pumping fuel.

And after Sandy, readers galvanized, uploading event information about fundraisers for the victims of Sandy; they posted blogs chock-full of advice; and announcements letting people know how they can help and were they can find important information.

As the community continues to pick up the pieces after Hurricane Sandy, we at Patch would like to thank our readers for all their help and we hope they will continue to share their lives, their stories and community with us.

Thank you!

Best,
