Red Light Camera Update

It looks like COMMACK Road is becoming the "pot of gold at the end of the rainbow," for both the townships of Huntington and Smithtown, with their Red Light Cameras. Within a two mile range, from Jericho Turnpike, going south to the LIE, there are now 4 red light cameras. The one intersection that really needs one is at Vanderbilt Motor Pkwy & Commack Rd, where there are accidents on an almost daily basis because drivers fail to read the signs that say "No turns on a red light."
