Red Light Cameras

I find it amazing that red light cameras are being installed in COMMACK at locations that are obviously going to make the town of Smithtown lots of money and are least concerned with the safety of its drivers. I can see installing a camera at COMMACK Road and Jericho Tpke to avoid drivers making an illegal right turn on a red light. But why did they have to install a camera a quarter mile south, by the entrance to the Meat Farms Shopping Center on COMMACK Road? Where they do need a camera, none has been installed. At the intersection of COMMACK Road and Vanderbilt Pkwy, there are constant accidents caused by illegal right turns on a red light as well as drivers speeding at 50mph, trying to beat out the light, traveling either north or south on COMMACK Road.
