2 Charged in Commack Bar Bust

An employee of Rancho Guanaco served alcohol to a minor, police said.

Two people were arrested after police conducted a State Liquor Inspection involving underage drinking at a bar in Commack on Saturday, Suffolk police said.

According to police, an employee of Rancho Guanaco, located at 195 Commack Rd., sold alcohol to a minor.

Jose Villanueva, the owner of Rancho Guanaco, was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child as well as an outstanding arrest warrant, police said. Villanueva, a 37-year-old Medford resident, was also issued summonses for violating the New York State Alcohol beverage Control Act, police said.

The underage employee who served alcohol to a minor was charged with unlawfully dealing with a child.

Villanueva was arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Sunday, and the employee will be arraigned at the same court at a later date.

In addition to the Commack bust, two employees at , located on Main Street in Huntington, were charged with unlawfully dealing with a child for serving alcohol to a minor on Saturday.

The Huntington Town Fire Marshall closed the bar down and deemed it unsafe as it was in violation of two State Fire Codes.
