7 Injured in Commack School Bus Hit-And-Run
Police say the school bus and a pickup truck were sideswiped by another vehicle Thursday.
Police said seven passengers on a school bus suffered minor injuries Thursday afternoon after a hit-and-run crash.
The Commack Fire Department and Commack Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded to the accident on Harned Road between Jericho Turnpike and Veterans Memorial Highway.
According to police, the bus and a pickup truck were traveling south on Harned Road when they were both sideswiped by an unknown vehicle at approximately 2:15 p.m. The third vehicle then fled the scene.
Police said seven passengers on the bus were sent to St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center for minor injuries.
Fourth Precinct police officers are investigating the incident.
