Car, Bank Vandalized On Same Day

Teachers Federal Credit Union and a car parked on Cedrus Ave. were targeted by vandals on Aug. 14.

The Teachers Federal Credit Union and a car were both vandalized within hours of each other last week, police said.

According to Suffolk County police, at 1 p.m. on August 14, two tires on a 2001 Mitsubishi Diamante were flattened. The vehicle was parked outside a residence on Cedrus Avenue.

Four hours later at about 5 p.m., the front window of the at 10 Vanderbilt Parkway was smashed with a rock, police said.

It is not clear if the incidents are related.

Police said nothing was stolen from the bank, and no injuries were reported in either case.
