Car Crashes into Building on Larkfield Road

Commack firefighters responded to the scene. The driver was treated for minor injuries.

A driver lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a small strip mall on Larkfield Road near Colonial Street in East Northport Sunday morning, fire officials said.

The Commack Fire Department responded to the scene with two engines. Firefighters secured the car and checked the building for structural damage, under the command of First Assistant Chief Andrew Babajko. The building includes a dry cleaning business, nail salon and bagel store.

The driver was transported to St. Catherine's of Siena Hospital with non-life threatening injuries by the Commack Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

The Town of Huntington and Commack Fire Marshals were requested to the scene.
