Car Crashes Into Pole on Jericho Turnpike

No serious injuries reported at the scene Monday afternoon.

A Ford Mustang traveling west on Jericho Turnpike lost control and struck a metal mailbox pole, narrowly missing a utility pole, at about 2:30 p.m. Monday. 

The crash occurred just past the intersection of Jericho Turnpike and Larkfield Road.

Members of the Commack Fire Rescue and Commack Volunteer Ambulance Corp. responded to the scene, as well as several Suffolk County police officers.

There were no serious injuries reported at the scene at the time of the accident.
