Cell Phone Thief Caught on Camera
Officials are asking the public's help to identify the man who was seen taking items from a Commack AT&T store.
Suffolk County Police and Crime Stoppers are searching for a man who was caught on camera allegedly stealing cell phones from a Commack AT&T store.
According to video footage obtained by Second Squad detectives, a man entered the store located at 6039 Jericho Turnpike, and appeared to have stolen three Samsung cell phones on March 4 at 7:11 p.m. The suspect, who was described as black and in his early 30s, was wearing a blue-hooded sweatshirt and a red hat. He fled on foot westbound on Route 25.
Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
