Instead of spending her Spring Break catching a tan on the beach, Commack resident Emily Corr joined her fellow classmates at Providence College on a service trip to work with Habitat for Humanity.

Corr spent a week with the organization as part of the College's Alternative Spring Break 2013 program. She worked on a home project in Goldsboro, NC.

Corr was among more than 230 Providence College students who volunteered to spend their spring break working at Habitat home sites in 16 locations in the United States.
