Commack Man Hit with DWI, Arrested on Road Rage Charge Next Day

Police say Michael Lombardo threw an empty nitrous oxide canister at another vehicle.

A Commack man was arrested two days in a row last week. First on a charge of drunken driving, and then for an incident of road rage, in which police say he tried to damage another vehicle.

Michael Lombardo, 22, of Commack, was arrested April 16 and charged with driving while intoxicated. Police said Lombardo was  swerving from lane to lane while driving a 2003 Nissan west on Sunrise Highway.

The next day, Lombardo was charged with criminal mischief in Smithtown. Police said Lombardo threw an empty nitrous oxide canister in an incident of road rage.

No one was hurt in the incident, police said.
