Commack Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident

Suffolk Police said a 32-year-old Commack man hit a sedan stopped in traffic on Sunrise Highway.

A Commack man driving a motorcycle was killed Saturday morning after he ran into the back of a Honda Accord stopped in traffic on Sunrise Highway.

According to Suffolk County Police, the accident occurred just before 11 a.m. on Saturday in West Babylon as the motorcyclist was driving westbound.

Police identified the man killed in the crash as 32-year-old Jorge Alberto Marquez Arguete of Commack Road.

Officials said he was driving a 2009 Kawasaki when he drove into the back ot a 2009 Honda Accord. The driver of the Accord was uninjured in the incident. Arguete was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he was later pronounced dead.

Police are still investigating the incident, and are asking anyone with information about the crash to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152. Individuals can also call anonymously to 1-800-220-TIPS.
