Cops: Man Stole Laptop from Best Buy

Suspect drove away from East Northport store in a Ford Explorer, police said.

A unidentified man stole a laptop from the store in East Northport in January, police said.

On Wednesday, Jan. 11 at approximately 6:10 p.m., a black male, who police decribed as 30 to 40 years old and wearing a gray and black coat, entered the electronics store at 3124 Jericho Turnpike and allegedly took a laptop from the floor display.

According to police, the suspect then left the store without paying for the computer, and drove away in a vehicle similar to a Ford Explorer.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. Police say calls will be kept confidential.
