Crime Log: Getty Station Burglarized

A look at recent crime in Commack.

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

  • Police said a Getty gas station in Commack was burglarized Aug 5. Police received the call around 10 p.m. when workers at the Veterans Memorial Highway station saw that the front glass window had been broken. The 911 caller reported that cash had been taken, as well as the register and computer. No arrests have been made so far.
  • Police arrested a Commack teen Aug. 7 after he allegedly broke into a vehicle in Smithtown and stole eight credit cards, change and an iPod. Cadence Raimo, 18, of Commack, was charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, a felony, for allegedly taking the credit cards. He was also charged with petty larceny for the change and iPod, as well as criminal possession of marijuana, both misdemeanors.
