Crime Log: Lobster Thief

A New Jersey man was arrested in Commack after allegedly stealing seafood from ShopRite.

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

  • Carlos Caraballo, 36, from Newark, NJ was arrested in Commack March 3 on a charge of petty larceny after he allegedly stole a lobster from ShopRite.

  • Suzanne Phillips, 49, from Huntington, was arrested in Commack on a charge of driving while intoxicated, first offense, March 3. Police said she was driving in a westbound lane on Route 25 at 12:37 a.m. in a 2011 BMW when she was pulled over for speeding. She was then also charged with DWI.

  • Jose Pereira from Centerport was arrested in Commack on a charge of driving while intoxicated, first offense, March 3. Police said Pereira, 24, was traveling on Townline Road at 4:35 a.m. in a 1997 Honda when he was pulled over for failing to maintain his lane of travel. He was then charged with DWI.

  • Lori Furlow, 49, of Copiague was arrested in Commack Feb. 22 on a charge of petty larceny after she allegedly stole clothing, electronics, and DVDs from Walmart.
