Crime Log: Woman Stole 65 Cans of Baby Food, Police Say

A look at recent crime in Commack.

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

  • A woman was arrested Sept. 7 after allegedly taking 65 cans of baby formula from Target in Commack. In addition to the baby formula, police said Terry Bodden, 28, whose address was not listed, also stole women’s sleepwear from the store. Police said she took more than $1,000 worth of goods in total. She was charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, a felony.
  • A burglary was reported at Sunshine Acres Park on Townline Road in Commack Aug. 30 at 10:15 p.m. According to police, an unknown person entered an unlocked door and took copper pipes from the building.
  • A home burglary was reported Aug. 28 on Trumpet Lane in Commack. According to police, a burglar entered the residence through a rear basement window and took jewelry from the home's master bedroom.
