Crime Report: Burglar Confronted By Homeowner

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

Suffolk County Police Department reported these arrests and incidents in Commack: 

William P Shine Jr. , 38, of Hauppauge, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated on June 15 at 3:32 a.m. Police said Shine was driving without headlights on Sunken Meadow Parkway in Commack and pulled over and found to be intoxicated.

Erin Burke, 26, of Kings Park was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated on June 14 at 12:38 a.m. Police said Burke failed to maintain her lane and crossed over a double yellow line on Town Line Road in Commack.

Michael Castaldo, 31, of Nesconset, was arrested in Commack and charged with second-degree burglary of a dwelling on June 13. Police said Castaldo broke into a home on Chassyl Road in Commack at roughly 8 p.m. on June 13 by breaking the side window. He was confronted by the homeowner, who called police.

Dean Pagano, 49, of Huntington, was arrested in Commack and charged with petit larcency. Pagano entered the a store on Jericho Turnpike and left with a Diwalt table saw without paying, according to police reports. He was stopped in the parking lot and police were called to the scene.
