Crime Report: Drug Possession and DWIs

A blotter of the latest arrests in Commack.

The Suffolk County Police Department's Second and Fourth precincts reported these arrests in the Commack area between Feb. 10-Feb. 17:

Maria Ivers, 48, of Huntington, was arrested Feb. 14 and charged with petit larceny. Ivers stole assorted merchandise from the located on Veterans Memorial Highway.

Scott Young, 19, of Commack was arrested Feb. 13 and charged with criminal mischief. Young smashed the windows, headlights and taillights of a 2007 Honda.

Richard Benanti, 22, of Smithtown, was arrested Feb. 12 and charged with DWI. Benanti was arrested at 1:30 p.m. on Somerset Drive.

Daniel Zagorski, 26, of Huntington, was arrested Feb. 12 and charged with DWI. Zagorski was arrested at 4:05 a.m. while operating a 2005 Mercedes-Benz traveling east on Route 25A.

Sean Albinski, 17, of Commack, was arrested Feb. 10 and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Albinski was arrested on Scholar Lane.

Elif Haci, 31, of Commack, was arrested Feb. 10 and charged with criminal contempt. The arrest stemmed from a domestic dispute.

Michael Starr, 18, of Commack, was arrested and charged with harassment. The arrest stemmed from a dispute in Dwight Circle with a male victim.

Lisa Formato, 34, of Commack, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. Formato was arrested on Route 112 in Medford.

Mary Kent, 20, of Commack, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. Kent was arrested on Conklin Avenue in Patchogue.

None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed above. They are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. If any of the above charges have been acquitted, in order for removal from publication, one must contact the Editor and provide proof of dismissal.
