Crimes Nearby: 3 Shot in Huntington Station

Suffolk County police reported the following information:

Huntington Station

Three people were shot Sunday in Huntington Station in what Suffolk County police said was a suspected gang dispute.

The three, Devon White, 18, Darius Howard, 16, and Philip Perez, 22, were sitting in a car near the Lincoln Farms Apartments about 3:15 p.m. when a large group of men surrounded the vehicle and two of them shot into the car. The three were treated at Huntington Hospital; White was released on Monday. The investigation is continuing.

Smithtown

Jacqueline Hudson, 29, of Holtsville, was arrested Nov. 21 in Smithtown and charged with second degree harrassment. She is accused of punching someone in the face at 1:30 a.m. along West Jericho Turnpike.

Richard Laboy, 44, of Centereach, was arrested Nov. 21 in Smithtown and charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was allegedly found with an illegal drug hidden in his sock on Route 54 at 11:16 p.m.

Amy Merkle, 27, of St. James, was arrested Nov. 18 in Smithtown and charged with first offense DWI. Reports indicate she failed a sobriety test after striking a guardrail in a 2011 Infinite on Route 25A at 1:48 a.m.

Kings Park

Elaine Kaye, 30, of Kings Park, was arrested Nov. 22 in Ronkonkoma and charged with seventh degree possession of a controlled substance. She allegedly possessed heroin and Xanax.

Leon Jankowski of Port Washington was arrested Nov. 22 in Kings Park and charged with first offense DWI. Jankowski allegedly failed a sobriety test after he was involved in a crash on Main Street.

Rhiannon Rochetilden, 27, of Huntington was arrested Nov. 17 in Kings Park and charged with first offense DWI. Reports state she was involved in an accident on Route 25A and was found to be intoxicated.

Hauppauge

Alcira Escobar, 23, of Brentwood, was arrested Nov. 19 in Hauppauge and charged with leaving the scene of an accident. Escobar allegedly fled the scene after his 1997 Dodge was involved in an accident with a 2010 Mercedes at 4:30 p.m. A woman in the Mercedes was brought to the hospital, according to police reports.

Jesse Spindler, 26, of Huntington Station, was arrested Nov. 18 in Hauppauge and charged with first offense DWI. Spindler was driving a 2006 Nissan on Route 347 at 2:53 a.m. when he crossed three lanes of traffic to make an illegal left turn onto Route 111, according to police reports.

Three Village

Police continue to search for a man who attempted armed robbery at the Hess gas station on Nesconset Highway on Nov. 19 at 12:20 a.m. According to a police report, a man with a gun demanded money, but did not get any, and fled the scene on foot.

Northport

A fist fight broke out in front of around midnight Nov. 18. One man was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

A man was reported unconscious possibly as the result of a cocaine and Xanax  overdose on Scudder Avenue Nov. 19, according to police. The man appeared to be asleep but could not be awakened and was transported to Huntington Hospital by Northport Rescue.
