Crimes Nearby: Huntington Students Accosted By Stranger

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Suffolk County police reported the following information:

Huntington

Two girls attending were accosted on their way home from school Thursday, according to a letter sent home to all parents in the South Huntington district.

The students reported that they were walking when a car pulled in front of them and stopped near Craven Street and Foxwood Drive. The driver made several comments toward the girls. They reported that he was engaged in a lewd act.

Kings Park

Michael McAssey, 19, of Northport, was arrested Jan. 5 in Kings Park and charged with petit larceny. He is accused of stealing a statue from in front of the Kings Park Fire Department at 12:35 a.m.

Emilio Fusco, 18, and Justin Pardo, 18, both of Kings Park, were arrested Jan. 4 and charged with drug possession. Fusco was charged with seventh degree possession of a controlled substance and Pardo was charged with fifth degree criminal possession of marijuana. They were allegedly sitting in a car near the intersection of 25A and St. Johnland Road at the time of the arrest.

Hauppauge

Marco Iannelli, 49, of Medford, was arrested Jan. 3 in Nesconset and charged with first-degree criminal contempt and first offense DWI. He is accused of intentionally breaking a window of a home on Midwood Avenue, where Ronald LaPort, 44, lives. LaPort was charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly engaging in a fight.

Alexander Geiger, 32, of Holtsville, and Mark Allen, 39, of Brentwood, were arrested and charged with second-degree criminal possession of marijuana. The men are accused of possessing more than a pound of marijuana in a 2001 Honda on Express Drive North in Islandia.

Smithtown

Andre Machate, 41, of St. James, was arrested Jan. 3 in Lake Ronkonkoma and charged with second degree possession of a forged instrument. Machate was allegedly in possession of a forged prescription when he was arrested on Hawkins Avenue in Lake Ronkonkoma.

Matthew Sheskin, 21, of Nesconset, and Thomas Martinez, 37, of St. James, were arrested Dec. 31 in Smithtown and charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Martinez was also charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance. Reports indicate the men were in a 1999 Lexus and in possession of prescription pills without a prescription. Martinez allegedly also possessed a hypodermic instrument.

Three Village

Thomas Seaton, 45, of Coram, was arrested Jan. 4 at about 9:45 p.m. at and charged with first offense DWI. Seaton was driving near the intersection of Route 25A and Miller Place Road in Miller Place when police said he struck another vehicle, crushing the leg of a female victim inside. The woman at Stony Brook.

Joseph Ioppolo, 44, of Uniondale, was arrested Jan. 3 and charged with second degree criminal trespassing. Residents of an Earland Road home in Stony Brook returned home and discovered Ioppolo inside, according to police.
